On May 22nd 2010, a day that lives on in cryptocurrency history, Florida man Laszlo Hanyecz paid 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizzas, simply to prove it could be done. Today that transaction would be worth $436 million New Zealand dollars!
To honour this first history-making transaction, this year on Monday 22 May, the 13th anniversary of Bitcoin Pizza Day, we’re joining forces with New Zealand’s most notorious and irreverent pizza maker, HELL, to offer Kiwis the Bitcoin Devil’s Deal.
Order from HELL on Monday 22 May 2023 and you could be in with a chance to win $10,000 worth of Bitcoin.
But, there’s a catch: what would you give in return if you won? Your large screen TV? The husband's golf clubs? The running machine?
Whatever you decide to give, to strike the Bitcoin Devil’s Deal a price must be paid.
To enter, order two double pizzas from HELL on the 22nd of May, and include in the order notes the details of what you’d be willing to give to meet your end of the Bitcoin Devil’s Deal. The winner will be announced the following day and whatever they give up will be auctioned on Trade Me with all proceeds going to the Satan’s Little Helper charity initiatives.

Terms and Conditions for The Bitcoin Devil’s Deal
Challenge name: The Bitcoin Devil’s Deal
Challenge period: From 12.01 am on 22 May until 23.59 pm on 22 May 2023
Criteria: To be eligible for to be considered for the prize, entrants must meet the following criteria:
Order a minimum of two double pizzas during the opening hours of any HELL stores in New Zealand, during the Challenge Period.
Orders must be placed online, either on the HELL website or mobile application. Phone or in-person orders will not be eligible to participate.
Detail in the 'notes' section of the order what you would trade for the Prize.
Prize: There is one (1) main prize to be won. The prize consists of: NZD $10,000 of Bitcoin. The conversion rate for the prize will be calculated on 23 May 2023, 12 pm as based on the spot price of Bitcoin published on Binance.
Selecting the winners: There will be one (1) winner selected from eligible Entrants at the conclusion of the Challenge Period The winner will be notified by HELL via email on Tuesday 23 May 2023.
Claiming the prize: The winner must hold, or newly open, a fully verified Binance account in order to receive the prize. Once the winner provides Binance New Zealand with their Binance user ID, the prize will be directly credited to their account within 10 working days. If the winner does not set up a fully verified Binance account, including identity verification, within 30 days of the conclusion of the Challenge Period, then the prize will be forfeited.

Claiming the prize: Once the winner provides their address to Binance New Zealand the prize will be delivered directly to the winner at the provided address within 10 working days.
